第一次海湾战争期间M1系列曾经被多次友军误伤，最惨的是B-66车，在1991年2月27号早上，因为交战中他的行进方向是和连队中其他M1的行进方向相反，被友军误认为是T-72惨遭集火，三枚DU穿甲弹直接命中车体，第一枚打在了炮塔连接处，挂掉了炮手，甩飞了车长；第二枚击中车辆正面，此时驾驶员已经被柴油喷了一脸，然后引燃染料烧伤了装填手和驾驶员，随后海龙灭火器启动致盲了驾驶员。幸存成员撤离车辆后，车辆爆炸。不过只有炮手挂了，其他人都活了下来。关于第三枚DU穿甲弹击中了哪里没写。不过主装甲并没有被击穿

C. Battle of Norfolk (Early Morning, February 27, 1991)
B Company, 3-66 Armor, Abrams (Bumper # B-66): This was the Bravo Company commander's tank. Three 120mm DU rounds hit B-66 -- one striking just below the turret, killing the gunner.[363] None of these rounds penetrated the DU armor panels. When B-66 was hit, it was moving in a different direction than the rest of the company,[364] which may have contributed to its misidentification. The impact of the first round threw the commander from the vehicle, inflicting fragment wounds to his legs.[365] The loader was attempting to remove the injured gunner from the vehicle when the second round hit, burning both the loader and the driver.[366] The driver, covered with diesel fuel from the ruptured fuel tank, was still in the vehicle when the halon bottles (containing fire-extinguishing gas) discharged. Burned and partially blinded, he ran from the vehicle and was picked up by B-23. B-66 started burning and later exploded.[367]

C. Battle of Norfolk (Early Morning, February 27, 1991)
B Company, 3-66 Armor, Abrams (Bumper # B-22): This tank, reacting to the fire directed at B-66, turned in the direction of fire and was hit by a 120mm DU round.[368] There was no internal damage to this tank.[369] The tank was equipped with a mine plow; the DU round penetrated the plow, striking the front slope and causing flash burns on the driver's face.[370] Although the round did not enter the crew compartment, the plow's power cable short-circuited, causing sparks in the crew compartment. Unable to contain the small electrical fire, the crew abandoned the tank about three minutes after it was struck.[371] The mine plow was later repaired and the crew of three continued to operate the tank for the next seven days, with the loader replacing the injured driver.[372] Personnel from VII Corps later checked the tank for radiation and pulled it out of service. The vehicle was then stripped for parts[373] and returned to the Defense Consolidation Facility in Snelling, South Carolina, for decontamination or disposal.[374]

这个是关于M1A1坦克B-23的故事。故事时间是1991年2月26日，晚上
一个大型HEAT类弹头击穿了坦克后部发动机的散热格栅。
在车组人员撤离的途中，第二发（可能是反坦克武器）击中坦克，造成装填手受伤。车组成员随后被其他坦克带离。
击穿造成的起火随后在车体内造成灾难性火灾摧毁了车辆，且摧毁了全部的贫铀弹。
车辆回收团队在B-23坦克的残骸附近发现了地狱火导弹的残骸，但是关于这是否是地狱火击中了B23没有官方结论。B-23炮塔内部没有弹道损伤（估计是说没被击穿的意思）。

C12倒是没有贯穿，弹道还是诡异。

补充一个搞笑的事情
海湾战争中M1A1绝大多数的损失都来自友军误击，原因很简单，伊拉克T-72M装的是BM15，这玩意打穿T-72M自身都有难度。

A-33，也老搞笑了。
被一发陶干废引擎，乘员屁事没有 （再次验证空心装药的可怜后效），然后被M829或者M829A1从侧面打成对穿了。三人受伤。 如果不能引发殉爆，穿甲弹的后效也很愁人的

M829A1把M1A1侧面打成对穿毫无难度，但是在正常交战距离敲不开贫铀正脸。
SB论坛上那个自称美帝体制内爆料的存疑。
然后布拉德利因为太容易被打成对穿，形成气溶胶极少，所以对乘员危害没那么大。

补充一点战后调查关于C-12的简要报告。基本没什么区别，我对某反坦克导弹居然连M1尾舱都打不穿标示愤慨
