高级英语学习有一个要求，就是用英语解释英语，就是paraphrase，考试的时候有这种题型。比如高级英语第二册第15课课文里有一个句子，The gadgets in the home are cheaper to replace than repair. 家用小装置买新的要比修理便宜，这句话意思就是，东西坏了，叫人来修很贵，不如买个新的。我们可以用比较浅显易懂的话来解释一下Paraphrase:when the gadgets in the home are not working, getting someone to mend it is very expensive,why not buy a new one?家里的东西坏了，找个人来修，贵得很，干嘛（不如）买个新的呢。
