Atlantic, January 1944. The crew of this machine conducted the first American rocket attack on German submarine. The U-758 was hit by two rockets and was forced to return to the base with heavy damage. The name 'Len Sharon' and the individual emblem on the nose were unusual for a carrier based machines since the Navy policy discouraged personal markings.

CVE21"布洛克岛"号飞行员用这架TBF-1C完成了美国海军历史上第一次火箭弹对潜攻击，U型潜艇U-758被两枚机载反潜火箭弹击中艇壳破裂，被重创后不得不返回基地。
“len sharon”这个画在机头的个性化标志对于海军舰载机来说是不寻常的，因为海军的政策不鼓励个性化标志。
