血铁损失
Each time you donate blood, you losebetween 220-250 mg of iron. If you donate a Power Red, you lose twice thatamount, about 470 mg of iron. It may take up to 24-30 weeks for your body toreplace the iron lost through a blood donation. That time may vary, dependingon what your iron level was before donating and if you take iron supplements ormultivitamins with iron.

    Iron supplements can cause side effects,which are described on the packaging. Side effects can include constipation,diarrhea or an upset stomach. If these symptoms become bothersome, you shoulddiscuss alternative options such as a lower dosage with your health-careprovider.
    Taking iron can mask other healthconditions that are more serious such as gastrointestinal (GI) disease. Theymay also be harmful to people who have an iron overload syndrome such ashereditary hemochromatosis. You should discuss your risk factors and healthhistory with your health-care provider before adding iron supplements to yourroutine.
    Although iron supplements are not usuallyharmful to adults when taken as directed, accidental ingestion of iron bychildren can be fatal. You should keep all iron-containing products out of thereach of children. In case of ingestion or emergency, seek medical assistanceor call a poison control center immediately.

                我个人认为更需要把铁和蛋白质一起补充,多吃肉蛋奶,毕竟血红蛋白是蛋白质大分子,铁仅仅是其中的一个中心原子而已,没有充足的蛋白质肯定不行的。
