Hmmm gonna try and translate somethingfrom an anime, if anyone here is a language expert or at least knows varyinglanguages and would like to help go aheaanyone d and submit your input.
Note that the anime features the tower of babel as a major plot point, thus itslikely that the translation may pull from several languages.
Gatrandis babel ziggurat edenal
Emustolronzen fine el baral zizzl
Gatrandis babel ziggurat edenal
Emustolronzen fine el zizzl
^^^ the lines to be translated
Nemo notes: i decided to translate each wordone by one, instead of all at once, i assumed that there were mispellings ofmost words and most of all for both gatrandis and emustolronzen i assumed theywere not 1 word but multiple due to their not showing up in any dictionary, ibroke them down on a basis of syllables, i.e. Gatrandis is instead broken downto Gatra(n) and dis. This could cause obvious problems.
First off gatrandis: google translatedoesnt know if its a word but it seems to point to indonesian:
heres a close match in the indonesiandictionary:
Gatra (Skr gram) 1 clause. 2 syntactic unit. 3 main element in sentence formation: subject, predicate, object. 4 aspect
It could actually be: gatran-dis (disbeing a suffix: in fact the word dis is a suffix in indonesian as well as anacronym. The suffix form stands for dina which translates to god, the acronymrefers to an official of the government. All things considered gatrandis couldmean among others: "aspect of god" or “syntax of god” consideringthis makes sense lore wise lets use that.
Babel obviously refers to the object, orat least the curse of babel, considering Balal is also referring to babel letssay babel refers to the tower of babel, well visit balal later.
Next the word ziggurat refers to asumerian-temple structure so that may indicate babel = the structure.
Thus: gatrandis babel ziggurat edenal could mean something like: the temple ofbabel in eden, the aspect of god. Or some such combination.
It is assumed edenal refers to the gardenof eden.
The Next line is "emustolronzen fineel baral zizzl"
First off: fine refers to the priestess queen fine, the priestess whotranscends time, etc and is the one who built the tower. And is a majorcharacter of the anime so its obvious what fine is in this line, its a name.
emustol - seems to have catalan roots
Ronzen may be rozen (germanic) for whirring.
Breaking down emustol more: emu may meanemulation and in the catalan dictionary is actually listed as such, whichdepending on syntax structure (aaah) that may make sense, will check if there'sa catalan word "stol"
Nope: however:
sol noun 1: sun 2: soh adjective 1: alone / lonely /lonesome 2: singleexpression a soles 1: alone 2: in private expression prendre el solto:sunbathe, exclamation ets un sol[colloquial]you're a star! / you'rewonderful!sòl noun1: soil 2: ground
Considering its closeness i would argue emustol may actually be emusol whichmay mean something along the lines of "in emulation created fromloneliness" (fine, the character was in love w/ "god")
Oh and hey ronzen google was wrong its not germanic its an actual proper name,it means "A person who has the potential to attain spiritualenlightenment" huh.... that... fits. Again. And yes I KNOW im grasping atstraws but lets roll with it: so far we have:
Emustolronzen = in emulation of god due toloneliness, to seek spiritual enlightenment
fine = name of person
Oh hey google search balal and your takento old testament which is hebrew in origin hmm: lets see what it means: oh heyit means to mix to confuse and so many other things it also refers to the curseof babel so obviously balal refers to that.
Zizzl may also refer to the Ziz of hebrewlore, basically comparable to the phoenix its wingspan is so large as to blockout the sun, and is known as the celestial singer, it is also known to bemassively tall. It is a messenger of god.... -suddenly makes in the anime loreconnection- it may refer to the moon (in the anime it is the source of thecurse of babel, it also blots out the sun at times, as an eclipse) also note inthe anime when the line is sung it kinda sounds like “ziz” (it has a long esound and no real l sound) so it may be a mispelling (intentional orotherwise).
So we have enough to roughly translate:
Gatrandis babel ziggurat edenal
The Temple babel, in eden
Emustolronzen fine el baral zizzl
Fine (built?) lonely seeking enlightenment in emulation of god, who sent his
messenger to confuse the tongues
Gatrandis babel ziggurat edenal
The temple babel, in eden
Emustolronzen fine el zizzl
Built by fine alone seeking to emulate god, the celestial messenger rose.
This is a very rough and tumble version and obviously invite others to offer their opinion as to how to actually translate this all i ask is you credit me if you do use the translation by linking these notes or mentioning me. Thanks =)
Languages used: sumerian, hebrew, catalan, indonesian i wonder are these geographically near each other?
Answer: catalan: france. sumeria, hebrew:middle east, indonesia: south asian
