Ali had his fingertips on the Money In The Bank briefcase when Brock Lesnar invaded the closing moments of the match and stole that opportunity away from him. This was a very controversial moment, but some fans might have missed Lesnar nearly decapitating two WWE cameramen with a ladder.
As Lesnar ran to the ring he shoved a ladder out of the way and it fell directly on two of WWE’s cameramen who were just doing their jobs.
Ali recently took a shot at Brock Lesnar’s WWE contract when one fan pointed out that he had his hands on the MITB briefcase, but didn’t pull it down. This is when Ali came up with a great reason why he didn’t pull down the briefcase.
Yo. I didn’t freeze up there. I honestly thought it was a Brock hologram. I was amazed at the quality. Then I saw the camera man nearly die and I was like “Oh, it’s the real deal.”
Brock Lesnar is still the Beast In The Bank. This doesn’t change how close Ali was to getting the briefcase instead. There’s always next year for Ali, but that is of course, if Brock Lesnar doesn’t want to try for a repeat performance. Let’s just hope he leaves the cameramen out of it this time

WWE AIMING TO BRING THE ROCK IN FOR SMACKDOWN ON FOX

WWE is bringing the blue brand to Fox in October. They will also have a new supposed leader in Eric Bischoff. The company obviously wants to make their SmackDown debut on Fox as big as possible. So they’re reportedly making a call to The Great One.
Joe Peisich said on the Barnburner Radio Network that WWE has some big hopes for their SmackDown debut in October. They are actually setting their sights pretty high and they are hopeful in pulling down The Rock for the big show.
“WWE is sort of pushing a panic button and trying to call former guys, new guys, whatever — they’re trying everything here.”
“I have also heard that for the first SmackDown on Fox in LA they’re trying to get The Rock, they are trying to get Brock Lesnar, they are trying to get Ric Flair into it.”
WWE knows how to schedule things and with the event being in LA at the Staples Center they could possibly convince some really big names to show up. They definitely need to put their best foot forward on a new network so they can settle any doubts and buyer’s remorse Fox might have about them at this point.

AEW FYTER FEST DID NOT SELL OUT

AEW Fyter Fest brought a great show to Daytona Beach, but they didn’t sell out the arena.

AEW Fyter Fest tickets sold very well, but they didn’t sell every seat in the house. Although some available seats are due to scalpers not being able to unload their tickets, it was still pretty noticeable that there were a few sections left bare in the building during the show.
It should also be noted that so many seats sold that they actually opened up more seating as well. It might have been close, but they did not sell out as previously projected.
You can check out the pictures below that shows how the crow looked at different parts of the show. If anything, they still probably sold more tickets than WWE did for Stomping Grounds.

There was some fear that Cody might have suffered a concussion after taking such a brutal unprotected chair shot. They even asked this question on commentary and brought up CTE. However, it appears The American Nightmare is okay.
After he was checked out, AEW updated fans saying: “12 staples and no concussion” along with a picture of Cody running the show from the production area.
Hopefully, Cody Rhodes doesn’t scare us like this again. Maybe AEW needs to have an unprotected chair shot policy after this one as well.

The Revival aren’t just two-time NXT Tag Team Champions, but they were the first team to do it. There’s a reason why Cody Rhodes is sending secret messages to them through his coffee cups, because he knows they are Top Guys too.
When one fan recently called The Revival out about complaining, Scott Dawson had a great reply as he owned up to it.
Yeah dude. I’ve built my career on complaining. A 5’10”, southern North Carolinian, who’s far from a body guy made it to the biggest promotion in the world by complaining. It ABSOLUTELY had nothing to do with hard work, talent, and sleepless nights.
We will have to see how things turn out for The Revival and WWE. If they let their deals expire they could very well be making a jump to AEW where #FTR could tell some incredible stories.
At this point, Scott Dawson’s contract is set to be up around WrestleMania next year, but WWE is tacking another three months to Dash Wilder’s contract due to missing three months in 2017. Until then, they will probably keep complaining a lot because apparently that’s just their gimmick.

MATT RIDDLE TAKES SHOT AT ‘OLD WCW WRESTLERS’ HATING HIM
Booker T recently stuck up for Goldberg and in the process he hated on Matt Riddle a little bit. This caused some to take notice, especially the Original Bro.
Riddle saw some coverage about Booker T’s comments about him and he just had to comment. It doesn’t seem like he’s sweating the fact that WCW wrestlers aren’t his biggest fan base.
I guess old WCW wrestlers hate the bro, I wonder who will be next
Riddle has a really bright future ahead of him in WWE. Let’s just hope that those words don’t come back to bite him in the end as they might have already.
In the meantime, Riddle will keep doing his own thing as he waits for an even bigger opportunity to come along.

WWE senior referee Charles Robinson was the victim in a big way because a storage facility full of his prized possessions was recently broken into causing him to lose about $55,000 of items.
Robinson is a huge fan of Hollywood and obviously, pro wrestling. He’s been storing away prized possessions from both genres of collectibles for decades. Now he lost everything he had stored away.
TMZ reports that Evel Knievel stunt cycle toys, Chucky dolls, Friday the 13th action figures, Planet of the Apes lunchboxes and WWF artifacts were all part of the collection that went missing.
A list of the stolen pieces of pop history was included in the report which also includes lost memorabilia from Evil Dead, The Partridge Family and a NBA basketball signed by Dennis Rodman and Karl Malone.
He also lost a Jaws statue valued at $2,400 which popped up on eBay on Thursday, but the username and listing was reportedly taken down before he noticed. A police report has been filed, but nobody has caught who did this yet.
Perhaps the worst part is that Charles Robinson said that the robbery wasn’t captured on camera and the storage facility doesn’t seem too eager to help him figure out who did this

Baron Corbin took part in WWE’s mini-tour in Japan this time around and although he competed as a bad guy during those shows, he was still over with the crowd.
Corbin showed up for a meet & greet and he had nothing but a warm reception. People were respectful and there was nobody booing him or trying to place their order at TGI Fridays.
As you can see in the video below, Corbin’s mere presence brought one female fan in the crowd to tears. This was in a good way like in a “oh my god I love him so much” kind of way. There is video evidence of this so it’s hard to refute.
As we previously reported, Vince McMahon keeps pushing Baron Corbin because of the fact that he makes the ladies swoon for him. Maybe he might have something there and WWE needs to keep booking tours in Japan
