President Emmanuel Macron received on Thursday March 29, a delegation of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), composed equally of women and men, of Arabs and Syrian Kurds.

The President of the Republic recalled that following the adoption of Security Council Resolution 2401, France had clearly expressed its concern about the situation in the Canton of Afrin and asked for full access to provide humanitarian aid to civilian populations. He also recalled the commitment of the France against the PKK and his attachment to the security of Turkey, Noting the commitment of the SDF to have no operational link with this terrorist group and to condemn any act of a terrorist nature of or to come, he hoped that a dialogue could be established between the SDF and Turkey with the assistance of France and the international community.
