圣诞卡的故事


圣诞卡的由来（一）

 相传圣诞卡始于一八四四年。当时，英国维多利亚女皇和阿拔太子在伦敦的温莎堡里庆祝圣诞节，邀请王族儿童入宫参加宴会，请柬上印有祝贺的词句。欧洲人从此纷纷仿效，用这种写上祝贺词的卡片来互相祝贺圣诞和新年。 

 还有另一个说法，在一八四三年，在英国有个叫亨高尔的十多岁青年，在一家雕刻店当学徒。圣诞节时，他因为忙，没时间给家人和朋友写信道贺，便切了一些白纸片，请一位很有名的画家，画上一家人坐着欢度圣诞的情形，又在纸片中央写着祝贺词：『恭祝圣诞，并贺新年！』寄给亲友。以后他又和那位画家合作，按照原样印了一千张，除了他们自己留着用一百张之外，其余的都以一先令的价格卖出。从此以后便有了圣诞卡。
 

 圣诞卡片从早期的单色印刷至今日的【色】【音】俱全，不但是收卡者大饱眼福，而且还大饱耳福，一张张会发出声音的圣诞卡使整个佳节的气氛更加的浓厚。

圣诞卡的由来（二）

 关于圣诞卡的来历是这样的：早在一八四二年的圣诞节，英国的传教士蒲力治，用一张卡片，绘了一幅耶稣诞生的图画，并且写了两句：「祝您圣诞快乐，新年平安。」然后把这张卡片，寄到远在非洲传教的好友。亨利考尔爵士看到以后，认为这是非常有意义的事，就请画家毛厄里设计制作了一张卡片，赠给一位亲近的友人。据说这张圣诞卡画的是一幅美丽的家庭圣诞欢乐图，在画的一角，还写着：「祝您有个快乐的圣诞节，和愉悦的新年。」

 一八六四年，英国的阿尔巴特亲王特别推广这件事，就印制了一千张圣诞图画的圣诞卡，开始发售。到一八六五年，印刷的圣诞卡，大量销售了。首先是由德国绘画彩色的石版工厂印制以后，运送到英国去，正式发售。再从英国传到世界的各地，于是寄送圣诞卡的风俗，渐渐流行起来。当初圣诞卡的寄送，只通行在基督徒之间，到了二十世纪初，普遍风行，不论是不是基督信徒，以圣诞卡向亲友祝福，和恭贺新年。

 圣诞卡在台湾广为流行，是近三十年的事，其原因除宗教习俗之外，在圣诞节后，就是新年，所以致赠圣诞卡也可当作贺年卡，是很有人情味的风俗。

 至于我国贺年卡的来历，也是有线索可寻的。早年，官场中人或社会仕绅，在新年伊始，职位或辈份低的，会向年长或位高的登门拜年。如果主人不在，或家有贵宾不便会客，拜年的人，便留下红色名片（或印红字者），上有「登府拜年恭贺新禧」的字样，以表亲自上门拜年之意。（是否有寄送贺年卡的事，没有考据。）

 基督徒寄赠圣诞卡，不可疏忽圣诞节的意义，它是纪念救主耶稣诞生的节日。耶稣的降生尘凡，是为了拯救世界，他给人们带来新生的希望，给社会带来和平的讯息，给困苦弱小者带来安慰和信心。耶稣诞生在清寒的环境（马槽）里，立了谦虚、克苦、慈爱和牺牲的榜样。他谦卑自下，受苦受难的精神，使人们明白痛苦的意义，以及人与人之间和平友爱的态度。

 圣诞节这天，指出天下一家世界大同的理想，只有以和平与仁爱的言行达成。寄赠圣诞卡，除表示庆贺圣诞的喜乐外，就是向亲友祝福，以表怀念之情。尤其对在孤寂中的亲友，更是亲切的关怀和安慰。

 以前圣诞卡的画面，多半与耶稣圣诞有关；现在的图样，真是花样百出，多采多姿。基督徒仍应选用有圣诞意境的画面较好。如果你有亲友在遥远的地方，平日忙于工作很少通讯，可寄上一张圣诞卡，表达怀念和祝福，相信对方必然欣慰万分。如果你不是基督徒，用一张圣诞卡当贺年卡，同样是非常有意义的事。
