Sinner's soliloquy
by Shaxpya
No, no, sinner, ride not so fast,
For those pit in the night shade I'm unprepared
Shall fail me and make this breath my last.
But my ride I concerned more with my life compared.
In such disgrace it's not allowed to fall.
And there's no righteous reason on earth to leave my
Beloved companion, but ill will befalled
The wretched mind the naked truth denied.
And when the reminiscence falls it pours,
So clear and piercing, like the rain drop fierce.
Grant them overwhelm me, from pain to sore,
And drown the wakeful anguish, with quiet tears.
All that I used to well knew, yet not knew well,
To shun the heaven that leadeth me to this hell.
