1. Project Solicitation
Existing projects and programs development in the WestLake Exposition will be fully utilized by the World Leisure Exposition, uponwhich basis the Exposition is going to create new ones. Relevant organizationsin Hangzhou andsurrounding regions have been called upon to take an active part in theprojects and events. So far, forty-two projects have been scheduled. Detailsabout them can be found in the appendix attached below. Another group will beapproved in 2005. More help is needed from the World Leisure Organization inintroducing and recommending international projects as the existing oneslargely lack international flavor.
2. International Marketing
An international marketing plan has beencompleted and with the assistance of the Foreign Affair Office of the HangzhouMunicipal Government invitations have been sent to Hangzhou’s foreign sister cities. The task ofinviting potential Japanese participants to the Expo and promoting it invarious cities inJapanhas been entrusted to our Japanese marketing representatives. Cooperativerelationships with twenty countries and regions including the United States,France, Australia, Sweden, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia were establishedwhen Hangzhou sent delegations to these countries and regions and receivedvisits form them here.
