From Prague, Czech Republic, Filip Slaquarda joins AF Corse as they step into the FIA GT1 World Championship driving Ferrari 458 Italias as they join the Championship as FIA GT3 Champions. A former Czech carting champion, Salaquarda has raced in Formula BMW, Formula 3 Euroseries, World Series by Renault and also within the Suprleague for team Atech Reid. He also made a single appearance in last season’s FIA GT3 European Series, racing with Scuderia Vittoria, in a Ferrari 458.

Enzo Ide, 20, from Tield, Belgium makes his debut season in the FIA GT1 World Championship with AF Corse, having competed in the FIA GT3 European Series for WRT Audi in 2011. Last season which saw the youngster score 100 points and record two race victories in the feeder series. Francesco Castellacci, last season’s FIA GT3 European Series Champion, will be Ide’s teammate as AF Corse (FIA GT3 European Series’ Teams Champion in 2011) look to settle in GT1.

Last season’s FIA GT3 European Series winner Francesco Castellacci has stayed with his championship-winning side, AF Corse, as they look to make the step up from GT3 to the FIA GT1 World Championship. The 24-year-old Italian has previously made appearances in British Formula Three (2007), Italian Formula Three (2008, 2009 and 2010) as well as the Porsche Supercup and Italian GT in 2010.
