Dear Tester-Pilots! We keep informing you about the forthcoming updates to be implemented in
World of Warplanes. This bulletin is devoted to the development of new
visibility system. It will be radically re-worked, updated and
complicated in the following patches. The first version of the new
visibility system will be implemented in the next 0.3.4 patch. Final version – step by step, option by option in the following 2-3 patches. 大概嚰讥了一下SYSTEM的发展。
View Each plane in World of Warplanes will have several view sectors. The
target detection range will be calculated for each target in each sector
of view. If the distance to the target is closer than the target
detection range – the target is visible. Recalculation of visibility
for each plane is being held with certain periodicity (ATM this period
is 1 second, but this period could be changed). 每个飞机的视野都不同,更新视野判定的频率是1S一次(但不绝对)
The target detection range in the certain sector of view could be affected by the following parameters: • Basic target detection range in the certain sector of view - it
depends on the plane characteristics: monoplane/biplane/opened-closed
cockpit, view from the cockpit (height of dorsal spine, size of engine,
bubble canopy etc.) • Crew characteristics – depends on the crew set (two crew members
detect targets better than one, and three better than two ), its skills
and health. • Environment (clouds, fog, sun, obstacles, time of day) • Targets characteristics (depends on flight mode, altitude, condition
of the target (smoke, on fire, using afterburner, firing etc.),
camouflage. • Mounted equipment (Example: depending the year of production the
aircraft may receive a radar, radioaiming, light-filter glasses etc.)
Important – the list of equipment is not final, availability of
equipment items could be radically changed in future.
In general, increasing of the experience will improve the view range.
However, the planes with opened cockpit, due to obvious reasons, it will
be better from the beginning, (at least for the view fields which are
not overlapped with the wings of a biplane construction). Zero view,
i.e. zero view range will be not represented in World of Warplanes – a
certain visibility range (min ~200 m) will be given for all fields of
view, even for night flights in the fog and behind the fuming target. 有一个基本的可见范围(类似于WOT的50M必见)
Brand-new features: new clouds effect for
visibility system, visibility will be also affected with fog, plane
equipment, crew skills, plane condition ( its visibility for other
planes). Limitations and Conditions There is a minimum visibility time, and you can see this plane during
this certain period after it was detected (approximately 3 seconds). There is a maximum visibility range, and if this distance is exceeded
the effectiveness of the target detection range reduces significantly. Plane’s fields of view 云雾影响可见度,点亮后最少3S持续显示。有一个最大的视野范围。
Plane’s fields of view Sphere of view. There is a spherical area around the plane and a player has full
visibility level within its borders (under ideal atmospheric
conditions). The point of this – you should always see who is shooting
at you. So, the radius of this sphere, i.e. the range of 100% target
detection from all angles corresponds the distance of the average firing
range - 700-800 meters. Anyway, the range of 100% enemy detection is from 200 m for I Tier to 500 m for Tier X, under all external conditions. 上面配图的文字。
View Sectors Front sector The longest sector - around 1000-2000 meters ( depends on a plane). View
range in this sector depends on the pilot most of all and radio
operator / navigator. Upper sector As a rule, it is a hemisphere, inclined to the axis of the plane
movement at an angle of about 45 degrees. It has an average radius of
about 1200 meters. Angle varies depending on the configuration of the
cockpit. View range in this sector depends on the pilot most of all and radio operator / navigator. Rear Sector This sector is present on the planes with the rear gunner. It is directed opposite to the plane movement. View range in this sector depends on the rear gunner and, possibly,
radio operator. I.e. the planes with a radio operator, even if the rear
gunner was injured, rear sector of view will not be blocked.
Camouflage. All warplanes have a certain constant camouflage coefficient, which
first of all depends on size of the warplane. But the camouflage effect
of the warplane can be both increased or decreased. Factors, which increase optical warplane visibility (not radiolocational): 1. Firing. If a warplane opens fire (this includes rear gunner) or
launches a rocket, it loses all camouflage bonuses. But this does not
include bombing. 2. Fire and smokes. If a warplane is on fire or ‘smokes’, he is more
visible. Fire can be extinguished by energetic maneuvers or with special
consumable – ‘Fire extinguisher’. Factors, which decrease optical warplane visibility (not radiolocational): 1. Altitude. Warplane on flyby is a tough target to be detected by an
aircraft on high altitudes. Camouflage efficiency from this factor
depends on plane type, while ground-attack planes has the highest.
Additionally, if your aircraft is 200 or more meters above the enemy,
and the enemy has altitude below 200m from terrain level, enemy receive a
bonus to camouflage coefficient. 2. Adaptive camouflage. Sandy camouflage decrease warplanes visibility
against a desert background, while sea camouflage decrease it against
the sea etc. 3. Weather and the day time. In evening clouds warplane has greated camouflage than in plain air during sunny noon. 4. Sun. Warplane which flies right against the sun in absolutely clear skies is almost invisible. Of course, if you do not use helio-filter glasses. This is because the sun simply blinds you, but depending on the warplane
position and the pilot’s inclination angle, as well as on clouds
between the sun and pilot’s eye – the target just has decreased
visibility. 太长了,具体介绍伪装。有兴趣的自己看。 2. Adaptive camouflage. Sandy camouflage decrease warplanes visibility
against a desert background, while sea camouflage decrease it against
the sea etc.这个挺有意思的,看看我的3.4update,里面有地图分房的介绍。
Factors, which decrease planes visibility: Non-transparent obstacles. If enemy warplane flies begind such obstacle,
it will become invisible after minimal time period (3 seconds
approximately) Guaranteed visibility in any natural conditions: For Tier 1 planes – 100m For Tier 10 planes – 500m In normal conditions (even below the warplane in one-seat aircraft with closed cabine of 5 sqare meters dorsal spine) it’s 800m Per latest information: radio works for distance of 100500+km and won’t
be a module – all planes will have the same radio with same
characteristics. 可见范围为什么减少了。具体几点。
