Taekwondo Star Moon Dae-sung to Marry in U.K. Moon Dae-sung Taekwondo champion and International Olympic Committee member Moon Dae-sung will wed in England. The 34-year-old gold medalist in the 2004 Athens Olympics will marry Kwon So-young, 38, a professor at the University of Cambridge, in a church near Cambridge on Saturday (local time).

Kwon received a doctorate degree in political science from Cambridge, and from 2007 until recently served as an international affairs aide to Choue Chung-won, president of the World Taekwondo Federation.

The two met while Kwon was working for Choue and Moon was serving on an executive committee of the World Taekwondo Federation. They became closer when Moon started studying English in the U.K. last summer. It will be a small wedding ceremony with only family members and close acquaintances present.

Moon, who also won a gold medal in the 2002 Busan Asian Games, has been serving as a professor and head coach of taekwondo at Dong-A University since 2005. During the 2008 Beijing Olympics he became the first Asian to be elected to the Athletes' Commission of the IOC.
