*通常这是在某些场合中，希望人家介绍他认识的人给你，你也可以用introduce（介绍）这个字，不过hook up 是更为口语的用法。

*这里hook up，又变成了get together（聚在一起）的意思，问人家要不要hook up，就是朋友间询问要不要见个面的意思。

*gang 是一群人、帮派的意思，衍生出来gangster，就变成帮派分子。平常我们常讲“聚众滋事”，一群人没事混在一起，不就像帮派分子吗？所以常常听到人家骂人“You gangster!”（你这流氓！）就是这个字。
