            Hi all 阳朔 friends,
First please allowed me to introduce myself:
My name is Richard, living in Shanghai. Just started Warlight one month ago, still fresh.
In Warlight I call myself “[残兵]zuzu”. The first 2 Chinese charactors is the name of a Assassin Group, so you could know it from my name, that I am good at attack, but very weak at defence.
I usually play multi day games as I don't have enough time to play real time.
We are so glad to have you guys top players visit us. May we invite you to some practice games later? Wish you can share tips with us.
            Thanks!

              Hey,
              我会说一点中文但英文更好。
You can invite me and Chaos to a game. Maybe make a 2vs2 with both of us against each other with one of you guys. Just try to create it with the 16% luck setting (strategic settings). If you can't find it, post a message in the forum on Warlight and we can invite you guys.
I don't live in Yangshuo anymore btw, but moved to Chengdu.
              Ciao

I have tried to play a 1v1 practice with Chaos, of course, I lost as expected.:)
Thank you very much Chaos for taking time practice with me.
                    here is the link:
                    http://WarLight.net/MultiPlayer.aspx?
                    GameID=2445832
(Please put the 2 lines in one)
Things I learned from this game:
                    1. when picking lands, try to pick the lands that have better income and you can take them all in the first 2 rounds.
                    2. should always push the front line to the enemy's home, and try to have multi attacking spots so that the enemy can't focus on one spot to defence.
                    3. when you have reinforce card, you don't have to use it right away. I notice Chaos saved it till we met at Indonesia.
That's what I have got so far, and I have a few questions:
                    1. Chaos you told me should always pick 6 spots in the 1v1 games, I didn't understand it well. I think you mean, if I only pick 4 spots, maybe my opponent will get 3 of them and I will be arranged to other places randomly by the game?
                    2. What is the best way to do in a situation that you have to defence 2 or more spots? like me in this game? I have more income, but still can't hold the line safe.
                    Thanks!
                    zuzu

Yes, pick 6 terrs is the best, so the computer will not give you random terrs when you pick the same ones. So when playing 2vs2 pick 6-7 (6 can be enough if you don't pick the same s your teammate, you can check this when he has made his picks already).
The best way... it depends on many things. Often you can't save both spots, so you usually end up guessing. But you can influence it by looking which is most important to you. I ususally give up a small bonus by defending a bigger one.
Another important thing is that for many attacks it's useful to attack last. Because when defending your killrate is slightly higher. So you can first make some "dummy" orders by moving troops around and after attack. I think you can often see this in replays of some good games. I have some replays I'm proud of on my warlight profile... maybe Chaos has too, but I'm not sure.

Ha, I have checked your profile and try to learn things from them few days ago. Try to put myself in the position and see why you guys made those moves. Very helpful but sometime confusing. Chaos doesn't put favorite game in his profile, but I can see his games in the ladders.
So regarding defence is still keep the enemy away from my home is the best solution I guess...:)
                        Thank you V!

yes predecting moves can be confusing, because... people know certain moves are obvious, so because of that you can decide to do something else. One of the best things is to be unpredictable as it will force your oppenent to guess and likely make mistakes. Also try not to be too passive, because if you don't use your armies you can't expand/ attack, although in some cases defence is of course needed.
Zuzu, I saw your game against Heihuehei. Please don't choose a bonus with a 10 in it, unless you are 100% you can counter there. Once the game started you can use the history to look with picks you got and you got pick #6, which means you know all of the opponents picks... very useful!! Of course it's a guess, but it was unlikely he would go for C America if he has 2 connecting terrs to complete a 4 bonus instead. And to not go for a bonus yourself makes your very vulnerable... which you learnt the hard way. Anyway, HHH is one of the best players, so no shame to lose :)

Oh my god, I should have practiced more before join the Ladders, now everyone can see my stupid moves, ha...
The reason I chose a wasteland is, Bear always do that to me, he just hiding somewhere I didn't expect, and give a sudden strike. I want to learn his strategy, but unfortunitely I didn't have his skill, ha...
Right now I am very poor with close combat in the first few round, like if enemy's base is next to mine, I totally no clue.
Guess Chaos will be crazy now to team up with me...:P
