(For non-Chinese speakers, I wrote the English version.)
A Discourse on Learning
Learning is living, and even the ancients who mostly could not pursue academic studies or martial or military learning, they would learn the trades or skills.
(Note: the Chinese mostly talk about academic learning and martial or military learning as 习文修武).
Even skills like farming and crafts might not be acquired without learning.
Most people believe that learning is school learning, and all emphasis is placed on academic studies without attention to interpersonal and practical skills; consequently, the so-called "high grade, low ability" type emerged.
The reality is: School learnings are mostly forgotten, and the gist is to learn the necessaries.
To spend the whole golden age for learning on academics without learning interpersonal and practical skills is to produce the useless.
