Following Ark Models lack of cash flow to go further with the project, Zvezda has broken its partnership with Ark Models. The complete Yak-130 project was therefore sold by Ark Models to the Chinese Wasan Plastic Model Company co (HB/Trumpy). The new owner should edit it in 1/72nd as a HobbyBoss easy kit and in 1/48th under Trumpeter label - in late 2018?
Having just edited a (sucessful ?) 1/72nd Yak-130 kit (link) Zvezda is now reported working hard on a 1/48th variant. The same rumour also indicates that this kit should be released in late 2017 or most probably early 2018. It might be the "surprise kit" (link) announced in September by Zvezda at the toy tradefair Mir Detstva 2017.
Conclusion: we might expect two 1/48th kits from the Yak-130 "Mitten", first by Zvezda and later another one by Trumpeter.
