	1.在《21世纪中学生英文报》总第150期中，第八版“kids, don't do that!”，有一句话是“Gum chewing is not allowed in many US school buildings,as it is difficult to clean up”，为什么是”Gum chewing “而不是chewing gum?他们有什么区别？ 如chenmin所说,这里的chewing gum 碰巧就是口香糖的意思. 另: 我觉得"noun+ving" 作为主语更加准确,泛指动作, 不管是什么样的人发出这样的动作. 而"ving+noun"表示特定主语发出的动作. For example: Cattle raising (表示了一个行业) was popular in the midwest around that time.  He lived on the farm, raising a few cattle by himself. 2.在《21世纪中学生英文报》总第150期中，第八版“music's our best language",有一句话是Since we're often away doing different things,we like to write down ideas in english via e-mails.这句中away的词性是什么？它怎样翻译？ I think "away" means that we do not always stay in the same place because there are different things for us to deal with.
