Just before 02:00. I received a telephone call from General Bergners Staff. I was ordered to prepare myself for a very important task and be ready collection immediately. I was not even able to say goodbye to my wife and children. I was uneasy. Awaiting me in the car sat Captain Dasler. He seemed alarmed. Dasler, it seemed, was apprehensive about the coming mission.

At 05:30, we arrived at the War Aerodrome , which is 15 kilometers outside of Berlin . The car stopped at the end of long line of similar black Mercedes limousines. Obviously they are quite a few other people going on this. Several minutes later General Bergner appeared. It was reported to us that we were all specially selected , both the military and civilian personnel. Each of us has a particular skill and necessary experience required to complete information as and when necessary, Bergner wished us a happy journey and that our fatherland and Führer were depending on us. After a few practicalities , we boarded the transport plane and sat in close fitting easy chairs. I fell asleep almost instantly.

I was awoken by somebody impudently shaking my shoulder. I raised my head and started at the pilot. He reported that the plane has landed , and command is waiting for me in the main body of the aerodrome. When I got to the ladder , I was almost knocked over by the heat , usually the nights in Berlin are chilly , and as much I was dressed appropriately. However we were no longer in Berlin instantly my shirt began to stick to my back with perspiration. I removed my jumper and raincoat , both being completely unnecessary. Wiping sweat from my brow a handkerchief , I was sullenly dragged to the gray stocky administrative buildings of the aerodrome. I took the opportunity to look around , surrounding the aerodrome were plants but in the distance was sand. We were in Egypt.

我被某个厚颜无耻的人晃动我的肩膀给弄醒了。我抬起我的头，开始看着飞行员。他说飞机已经着陆，指挥官在aerodrome的主体建筑里等着我。当我走到梯子处时，我几乎被热浪击倒，而通常柏林的夜晚是寒冷的。and as much I was dressed appropriately 。但是毕竟现在我们已经不在柏林了，由于出汗，我的衬衫已经粘在背上了。我脱掉套衫和雨衣，这些都没有用了。用手帕擦了擦额头上的汗水，我很不高兴的走进了灰矮aerodrome行政大楼。我趁着机会看了看四周：aerodrome周围是一些植物，而远处则是沙子。我们到埃及了。

It was already getting dark when we arrived at the place. The unbearable heat was begin to fade and from the west began to blow a chilly breeze. While some soldiers began to set up an encampment. I explored the local vicinity. I saw some rains of ancient buildings. In the background were fragments of worn out blocks with a distinctly narrow passage , leading downwards. I felt my skin crawl with fear and realized this was where we were heading.

当我们抵达目的地的时候，天已经很黑了。令人难以忍受的热浪开始褪去，从西方吹来了有些寒意的风。这是一些士兵开始构筑营地。我则查看四周环境。我看到了古代建筑物的残垣断壁。这些建筑物的残垣断壁组成了狭窄的通往地下的通道。我的皮肤开始起鸡皮疙瘩了，因为那里就是我们明天要去的地方。
13 September 1942
At 06:30 , after a light breakfast prepared in our field kitchen , I , along with group of ten soldiers , began to escort the archaeologists to the place of their work. It looks like I was right , we are descending down the dark narrow passage. I will take my diary because it looks like we will be down there all day.

早上六点半，在我们的野战厨房吃过一顿简单的早餐后。我带着十个士兵，开始护送考古学间前往他们工作的地方。看起来我是对的，我们确实是沿着又黑又暗的通道往下走。我将会带上我的日记，因为看起来我们将会在那里呆上一整天。

It’s 14:00 and time to sit down and rest. The scientist are constantly arguing. We are based in a room , above the entrance were many Ancient Egyptian characters and around the room stand strange containers. In the center of the room is a locked sarcophagus on pedestal. Apparently we are required to assist in its opening.

I think it’s nearly 15:00. I lost my watch in the confusion… I … I am sitting in a dark trap underground. I remember being in the room , then running along a corrider watching the wall in front of me lower and then turning around to see the wall behind me descend as well. Then suddenly I am in this trap. We should not have opened that sarcophagus; cursed mission , damn this fucking General Bergner who sent me here. And these creatures , these mummies. They are all over… hush , I hear steps , but … there do not sound like the steps of a normal human being…well , if you want my life you will surely have to fight for it.

Our instructor was a short , dark Arab. He was one of the few Egyptians who co-operate with the Fatherland. The majority of inhabitants of such countries consider us invaders. We were told that this aerodrome was not far from Cairo , and that we will be taken in some excavations. We were in cars with in 15 minutes after the short briefing , on our way to the place our accrual mission. I was lucky to be assigned to the car with our instructor , and I sat near him. He was not a talkative person , but a few gulps of Schnapps from my army flask and several cigarettes loosened his tongue. What he told me has greatly worried me. He said that we are to go into the remains of tomb built for an Egyptian pharaoh. On discovery of this tomb the local inhabitants began to notice some strange event and this area is considered cursed. Several months back group of German and Italian scientist conducted excavations on the tomb. Several weeks after beginning the work the whole encampment disappeared , without trace during the night. Many local people believe this was the works of guerrilla-nomads , but people often say that aliens created the curse of the pharaoh. This information did not make me feel optimistic at all. I folded a belt of haversack and settled back in thought.

我们的向导是一个个头矮小，皮肤黝黑的阿拉伯人。他是少数几个肯愿和我们合作的人。当地的大多数居民都认为我们是侵略者。我们被告知aerodrome离开罗并不远，不久我们会被带到挖掘现场。15分钟简短的提要后，我们坐上车前往目的地。我很幸运的和向导在同一辆车上，并且我还和他挨着坐。他并不是一个健谈的人。不过在喝过我从军队带来的酒并抽过几支烟之后，他的话匣子打开了。不过他告诉我的事情让我很担心。他说我们要去的地方是一个埃及法老的墓穴。在这个墓穴被发现之后，当地居民开始发现一些奇怪的事情，而且那个地方被诅咒过。几个月前，一支德、意科学家小队支持了挖掘法老墓穴的工作。在挖掘工作开始几周后，他们的营地不见了。而且失踪的那个夜晚没有任何痕迹。很多当地居民认为这是游击队干的，但是人们经常说这是法老的诅咒起作用了。这个消息让我感到很悲观。我整理一下背包后开始陷入沉思。

回9楼：机械人太大块头了。墓室里的有些地方未必能过得去啊。而且机械人好像不能跳跃
