【老鹰】28年后再出辑 走自己的步调

摇滚经典「老鹰」合唱团时隔28年才推出新专辑，几个已经白发苍苍的成员，一点都不觉得晚，主唱唐亨利更表示，「我们用自己的时间做事，不用时间表做事」。专辑的歌曲也超越了28个年头，最早创作的歌到最晚激荡出的新作，足足相距了32年。
「老鹰」合唱团是史上唯一拥有三张超过千万销售专辑的摇滚乐团，说起他们的传奇歌曲「加州旅馆」，更是许多摇滚乐迷心中不可磨灭的经典。自1980年后，「老鹰」合唱团就不再有新作问世，尽管主唱唐亨利一再强调，「我们只是休息、并不是解散」，但人的一生中没几个28年可以挥霍。「老鹰」合唱团在相隔了28年终於推出全新的大碟「远离伊甸园」，里头最早的歌曲，是他们早在1974年就写好的「多久」（HOW LONG），最新的歌曲则是团员们在去年一块创作出，长达十分钟的摇滚史诗「远离伊甸园」（LONG ROAD OUT OF EDEN），看来除了「老鹰」合唱团，这世上也没几个乐团，可以在同一张专辑里，歌曲相距的年代可以差到三十余年之久。
这麼久没发片，新专辑也汇集了「老鹰」合唱团，28年来之大成。几个团员现早已是「爷爷级」的，透过音乐关注的目标也不同，专辑就以带有浓厚环保意识的「不再森林漫步」（NO MORE WALKS IN THE WOOD」开场，团员唐亨利和提摩西史密特联手写的「行动吧」（DO SOMETHING），乍听以为是描写男女关系的浪漫情歌，其实是表达了团员们对社会、地球环境的关心。唐亨利和另一位团员格林佛莱一块打造的十分钟史诗大作「远离伊甸园」，更从战争来讽刺文明的堕落。
现在媒体追逐八卦的乱象，一样逃不了「老鹰」的法眼，「不愿面对的真相」（FRAIL GRASP ON THE BIG PICTURE），他们就直接在歌曲里，毫不留情地批评新闻道德沦丧、文化垃圾满天飞的传媒现象。
不过，「老鹰」不只是说教而已，专辑最后的两首歌，「宇宙中心」（CENTER OF THE UNIVERSE）、「该你上场」（IT’S YOUR WORLD NOW），就是唐亨利和格林佛莱从父亲的角度，写下对子女的期许，难得展现「老鹰」温柔的一面。
「老鹰」合唱团时隔28年发片，一点都不觉得久。

《注1》colitas
这是西班牙语"花蕾"的意思，可能是创作者用这个黑话来指大麻，以避免招来麻烦.
《注2》spirit
英文中spirit有两个意思，一为烈酒，一为精神.我以为这是创作者的双关语，'We haven't had that spirit here since nineteen sixty nine' 也可译作：我们从1969年开始，就没有这种精神了.
毕竟1969是美国摇滚文化上的一个符号.

老鹰合唱团 出专辑坚持环保

资深乐团「老鹰合唱团」全新作品「远离伊甸园」，短短一周内就在全球狂卖300万张，但他们不急著加印、改版，原因是老鹰坚持环保，专辑的纸张必须产自他们认可的纸业公司。
老鹰合唱团的灵魂人物唐亨利，除了音乐的主业之外，另一个身分是「环保斗士」，投身环保工作超过17年，也直接影响全团团员，这次他们身体力行，即使专辑在全球卖到快缺货，老鹰仍要求和他们指定的纸业公司合作，因为这家公司的再生纸获得保护雨林联盟背书。
唐亨利常常笑自己：「如果我不是这麼忙著拯救地球的话，我可能早就出了3、4张专辑罗。」不过以台湾环球唱片为例，先前铺货1万多张，已经没有存货，如果按老鹰的指示，还必须「排队」等待出版，台湾环球多次以电子邮件反映市场无法等待，不过老鹰坚持信念。
唐亨利创立「Walden Woods Project（华登林保育计划）」，取名来自「湖滨散记」中的主角。唐亨利透露，他高中起接触梭罗这本著作，也开启了他投身生态保育的路，既然身为全球知名乐团成员，他当然要利用这股影响力去宣导环保的概念。
