3楼 lob：这个词是个体育用词，网球里，把打高抛球叫lob，这里把micheal和法官在法庭上的表现比喻成打球，micheal放弃了辩护等于打过去一个可以让对方随意处置的球，那么法官对micheal的判决就可以象对他扔掷了一个手榴弹一样，置于他死地。原因正象veronica解释的，正义和处罚对法官来说是一样的。 grenade：手榴弹 6。Veronica: Then will you please tell me what’s going through your head? The phrase is derived from a time when prisoners were not allowed to speak to each other and learned to talk to the person next to them while standing and looking straight ahead.表示长官对囚犯的话不相信。是从不允许说话的犯人试图在队列里“向前看”的时候还是试图对旁边的人讲话派生出来的一个典故。 Come again：=pardon？请人重复一遍没听清楚或者不理解的话 smartass：【美】【口语】自以为了不起的家伙 deadpan：指面无表情的。。一种表情 fly low：这里指保持低调 Menacingly：带有威胁以为的，用心险恶地。 10。Black Prisoner: (Shouts from a cell across the way.) 12楼 lean in：表示倾身上前的动作。如果大家坐地铁的话（kevin是有名的公车盲，只会坐地铁），留意会发现，车门上一般都有这样的提示：dont lean against/on the door please。不要倚靠车门。这是lean的另一个比较常用的用法。 show up：口语，出现反意词正好是后面的disappear poke ：这个词也是口语里经常出现的词，本意是戳，捅的动作，也有很多俚语用法，比如： 1。poke up【美】【俚】激发，引起 2。【口】打出(一拳) 3。poke into 探听，干涉 4。名词，【俚】游手好闲的人;慢性子的人 5。名词，【俚】钱包 6。动词，探（头），伸 这里poke的意思是插手此事。 6。incoln: I…I didn’t realize it went that high up, you know? Do you know what we’re up against? 这句里有两个up。up是口语里相当常见的词，有的时候有意义，有的时候仅仅表示一种状态，有的时候就是口头语没有词面上的意思。 比如这句，it went that high up，意思是，我没意识到事态发展的这么严重，不用up完全可以，口语里加上了，表示一种状态，同样，what we r up against？也可以省略up。我们在对付谁？ 再举几个这样的例子： 英语聊天室里刚见面打招呼的时候：where r u and what r u doing up here now?这里的up省略也可以。但口语里就这么说。 7.Lincoln: Well, you being here, is he cool with it? you being here看起来不太符合语法规则，但在口语里，经常这么省略。 cool ：这词也用的太多了。口头禅一样。可以用来夸人：ur shirt is cool.可以表示ok，没问题的意思， A：we cool？(之前 两个人吵架闹别扭）B：cool ! 可以表示同意，赞赏。A：what about going to see a movie tonight?
