gauntlet也作 gantlet。意思是
A form of punishment in which men armed with sticks or other weapons arrange themselves in two lines facing each other and beat the person forced to run between them.
夹道鞭笞的刑罚：两排人面对面站着，手持棍棒或其他武器，令一个人从其中间跑过去，同时鞭打他
The lines of men so arranged.
执行夹道鞭打刑罚者：这种安排下的人排成的队
An onslaught or attack from all sides:

202.45.57.*	30楼大概有点吧。。。那几个词长啊。。。光是要打上来就先要记，但是对大家以后的学习有没有用我就不知道了解释一下， constructivism （建构主义） Gothicism （哥特主义） flamboyant Gothic （哥特式的火焰状饰） abhor （憎恶） balderdash （梦呓）
